Amadeus Chun Kit LEUNG is a composer, conductor, violinist, and music educator. He graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with a Professional Diploma in 2003, where he studied composition under Law Wing Fai and electronic music with Prof. Clarence Mak and Prof. Lo Hau Man. He also attended masterclasses with renowned composers such as Krzysztof Penderecki, Zygmunt Krauze, David Del Tredici, Robert Saxon, Xiaoyong Chen, Chen Yi, Qu Xiaosong, Doming Lam, Man-yee Lam, and Peter Kam.

Amadeus began learning the violin at the age of eight under the tutelage of Prof. Chu Yao-wu (former Head of Strings, Central Conservatory of Music), Prof. Tong Long (former Head of Orchestral Instruments, Xinghai Conservatory of Music), and Cheung Wai Lap. His piano teacher was Hui Ling. He also developed his conducting skills under Prof. Alan Cumberland and Prof. Tong Long.

From 2006 to 2018, Amadeus served as a violin and composition teacher (Year 1 to Year 12), orchestra conductor-in-residence, and technical supervisor (sound & lighting) at the International Christian Quality Music Secondary and Primary School, the only school in Hong Kong specializing in music. His dedication to music education led him to further studies in Christian education at the Research Institute of Christian Education, world music at the University of Sheffield, and creative industries management at the University of Hong Kong.

Beyond education, Amadeus is deeply involved in charitable music initiatives. In 2011, he founded the non-profit orchestra Symphonic Cordiality HK, using music to support charitable causes. As a conductor, he has led the orchestra in performances with renowned artists such as Irina Morozova, Anna Likhacheva, and Cecilia Long. Since 2018, he has expanded his work into the field of music technology, publishing his compositions, teaching materials, and apps on platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, SheetMusicPlus, Musescore, Google Play, Amazon and SoundCloud.

Amadeus holds an MBA and an MSc in Big Data & Business Intelligence from Universidad Isabel I, as well as the Fellowship of the London College of Music (FLCM). He is also a Fellow of the Guild of Musicians and Singers (FGMS), a distinction conferred in recognition of his professional qualifications, artistic achievements, and significant contributions to the field of music. This honorary fellowship affirms his standing within the UK’s professional music community and acknowledges his impact on music performance, composition, and education on both local and international levels.

He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), selected by the Fellowship Committee in recognition of his contributions to the development of the arts. Additionally, for his contributions to music education, he was awarded the Outstanding Teacher Award at the Tokyo International Youth Music Competition 2019.
